I wanted to take the opportunity to say “Thank You!” to all of the teams, players, referees, and event staff members who participated in the 2013 Maryland Cup. Thanks also go out to Rick and Nancy Carver, Gizzmo and the rest of the OXCC staff for the great venue and their tireless efforts to see that all needs were met throughout the course of the tournament. The event was a great kickoff to what promises to be another highly competitive season of MAPL paintball. It was my pleasure to have gotten to the opportunity to speak to so many of you guys at the event. I look forward to another chance to do it again in June.

Small But Important Registration Changes To Be Aware Of
Wanted to make sure that everyone is up to date on a few subtle league changes. The registration cut-off dates have had some minor tweaks. The early registration cutoff has been moved to two weeks prior to the event. The late registration cutoff has been moved to the Sunday prior to the event. EVENT REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT ON THE SUNDAY NIGHT PRIOR TO THE EVENT. These small changes will help tremendously with concluding the registration process and will expedite the scheduling of/ and release of the event game schedule.
The MAPL Chesapeake City Classic event itinerary
Early registration open through 11:59pm on Sunday May 19th,
Late registration open through 11:59pm on Sunday May 26th,
EVENT TEAM REGISTRATION CLOSED at 12:00am Monday May 27th,
Game Schedules will be released on Wednesday May 29th,
The field will be open Saturday morning June 1st at 6:00am for team sign-in, ID pickup, & ID and paint sales.
45 minutes prior to the first games, there will be a referee’s meeting.
30 minutes prior to the first games, there will be a captains meeting.

5Man teams wishing to sign-in early may do so at any point after lunch on Saturday up until registration closes for the evening.
